quick question, when you amplify components, does half the power go to the tweeter and half to the woofer? Thinking i need a bigger amp to power the woofers...

nope. The music dictates the amount of energy that is distributed throughout the spectrum. For example, at the beginning of Jukebox Hero most of the energy is in the midbass region so at that time the midbass would receive most of the power. This changes constantly.

Now overall there is more energy than up high which is why you often see active systems with escalating power on the midrange, midbass, and sub channels in that order where tweeters can get away with relatively little power.
