Question about Epicenters

Do they really make much of a difference? If I was thinking of adding one do I have to go with Audio Control or is there another brand that does the same for a little less $?

i've seen bass reconstruction systems made by soundstream and other brands for under $100 online. audio control was the inventer of the EPICENTER but any bass reconstruction system will work the same way. its hard to explain how they work

I understand how they work but do they actually improve it that much?

are you still running factory deck? get an aftermarket HU first.

do you want your bass louder? dont get an epicenter, get a better box.

I have an aftermarket deck and am happy with the bass. Just wondering if they improve it at all.

If you listen to pre-90s music or stuff with minimal bass in it then the Epi is a great investment. If you listen to stuff that already has bass, don't bother.

I don't think I really need one but was thinking of getting one to add to the "look" of my install if you know what I mean. But if they served no purpose I would not waste my money but if I can get some use out of it then I think it would look good in my install.

Well, like I say, if you listen to music with minimal bass then it's nice to have.

Other than that, it does have a great subsonic filter in it and IMO any system should have one of those

So the next question is.... Does it have to be an epicenter or is there another brand with similar functions and a bit less $?
