questions about invert mounting and DVC powering with a single amp
i posted this in install related too, i'm not really sure where to put it, but i know here it will get the most traffic, sorry if i did anything wrong...
okay i have a 1984 Toyota Supra
it's a hatch-back with a biggish trunk area...
what i have are 2 Alpine Type-R's and a RF 300.2
what i want to do is mount them inverted, so that the magnets are visible...
now what i am asking is, i've heard that when a sub is mounted invert you should reverse the polarity that your powering it with, so you send the + line on the amp to the - pole on the sub, is this right?
also i want to bridge the amp so that only one channel is powering both the subs preferably in parallel/parallel, now to do that would i need to "Y" the + & - lines coming from the amp to the subs in order to power each subs 2 voice coils or what? i'm still pretty new to all this, and i want to get the most that i can from this amp/sub combo, as at the moment it's all i have...
also i'm running an alpine deck from last year the CDA-7893 so i've got the RCA's from the sub-out put going to the amp, so that's all good there i'm sure...
anyways any help you guys can spare would be great!

Hi, for your first question, if you're mounting both subs inverted, it doesnt matter if you reverse the polarity or not, as long as both subs are wired the same.
Your second question is a bit confusing. I think this is what you mean?

You might want to read some of the other tutorials on the JL website too.
Hope that helps a bit.
