Quick Question..

Quick question i just got my twin 12" JL W3's professionally installed. They did a job, they didnt tune the amp at all or anything. Anyways running way to small of an amp 400w Alpine and the sound seems to be off by a little bit, like you can her it in the speakers and a split second later my JL's thump.

Is there anyway i can fine tune or help get rid of that delay? If you guys could help me get it running to the best of its abilitys that would be great.

BTW im new to car audio.

Their isnt much to tune at your amp, it seems like it is underpowering your subs, last thing to do is turn up the gain I am sure they set that right.

Try switching the phase as mentioned above, if your deck as time allignement, try that to try and get them more insic with your subs. Best bet might be to go back to the shop and explain it to them nicely and politely so they can fix it isntead of coming here and saying they do a crap job

If your cd player or amp don't have a 180 degree phase shift switch ability, you are able to simply flip the speaker wires around at the sub amp, it will shift the signal 180 degree's that way.
