Question quick question on frequencies

hey im just playing around with the settings on my amp theres a THD Class A/B variable 50-300Hz low pass filter ... now i understand that if i set it at say 70 Hz it will only forward frequencies at 70 or lower while ignoring the rest....so my question is what should i keep this setting around (i want like a tight crisp bass) ....if it helps at all i like to listen to hiphop music

thanks guys

It depends on your front stage and install. I never go above 80. Remember that xovers have slopes, so find out what slope is on ur amp's xover and keep that in mind, it's not like a sudden dead-end cut off after certain frequency...
