Tweeters are crackling sometimes....ahhh

I can hear crackling from the tweeters just a little bit for a second or a bit more during a few songs like sean paul and rihanna - break it off .... my gf sais its not there but she dosent pay attention the the nots like i do, what can it be? it happens at lower volumes too, and the gain is set low. It comes form one side more than the other....

Also on the crossover what does the +3 db 0db and -3 db do?

BTW these are CDT CL 62s

I was thinking i need new tweeters? :S

Are they burnt discs or MP3 songs. If so jam in a purchased disc and see if its still present. I have seen a few burnt discs do this before.

That is for how many db you want to set up the tweeters for, most people leave it a 0db but if you find you need less tweeter than set it up for -3 and if you need more tweeter put it to +3. Hope that helps you.

It all depends on how you like it to sound if you like high overpowering highs than +3 but is you like it more subtle and reduced than -3. I personally leave it at 0 because I like a little of both.
