This is crazy. I go out for a burn and show my bud the crazy noises it was makin and then it made no noises at all. Got a little funky when it was cranked right up, but other than that it was fine. Before it was making a horrible noise at vol 2-3!

Yeah I'd have to agree. Or maybe it was just the limited power of my amps and clipping.
It is a pretty old sub too!
