Btw.. with about 400w RMS and a single 12"... there's a good chance you probably aren't right up at 130db on a regular basis.

I'd probably guess somewhere in the mid 120's. Which should still be good enough for showing off to your friends.

Listen man I'm not preachin' but from the tone of your post it seems that you are always cruisin' loud. If you're that worried about your hearing drop it a few notches man. You don't need a bunch of guys on a forum to tell you that...common sense bro. I like it loud sometimes too, but not constantly and if you like the vibrations kill some highs and midbass(more dangerous for your ears) and bump the subs.

Buy the eagplus that fit your ear (cone shape, insert them in) and then put the headset ear protection on you'll have some protection in that not sure if it'l be as much as you were looking for however.

2 cents.

Yeah I know, its stupid I generaly dont do that. I dont have the stereo ridiculously loud. ONly when its warm out, the windows are down anyway. I never play it loud in neigboorhoods, only to annnouce that I've arrived at my buds house or whatever. JordyO, I have a question. The sub is 97 effeciency, wouldn't that make it 130DB or so? Im assuming. On Bassbox, my sub graphed out 131Db at 60 HZ (I think..) Your obviously a Admin for a reason.. so what do you think?

I use some custom fited ones. They work great. Yes playing on the louder side makes it very hard to hear what around you. I played with the Term lab the other day. The Mini only does 130. But I used an song not tones and moved the sensor around the car ( inside ) It averaged 110 to 115db. I'd say just turn it down a bit.
