rear speakers

Hey guy's

Ive been told by a few guys that rear speakers are not needed and others say that they should be used for fill. I just built an amp rack and have rear speaker provisions in it, however due to design changes, all I can fit are 4" speakers, is it worth putting them in? There are no other locations for larger rears. In the front im running 6 1/2" JL components, and I have not decided on an amp yet. Its a small cab ( el camino) and I do plan on running a sub eventually.

any help would be appreciated

you should be good without them, its only a small cab like you mentioned, having a sub will make the biggest difference

4 inch speakers in the rear would be totally pointless, especially with 6 1/2 in the front, you most likely wouldn't hear the 4's.

ok, well that'll save $ to put towards the amp. Originally, I was hoping to get 6 1/2's but theres just not enough room.

Thanks guys

With just a pair of 6 1/2" components in the front and a sub in the cab would make for an excellent set up..IMO
