Rear View Camera?

Hi all, tried searching with no luck......

I am looking for an inexpensive back up camera to wire into my aftremarket head unit. I don't want to spend more than $75. Vehicle is a nissan titan truck, and mostly want to see the trailer hitch while hooking up.

There appears to be a wide variety of pricing, from $7 ebay cameras from Hong Kong, to $200 recognized name brands.

I am looking for advice, opinions and experience on which cameras to avoid, which are worth the money, where to mount for best rearward view, do the little LED lights provide adequate light for nighttime operation? How will they stand up to -40C or heavy rainfall.

i know onlinecarstereo.com offers a lot of random car electronics and definitely has the back up cameras your looking for... as for the quality, i've always found it hard to assume anything on the internet

good luck though

i got mine from eBay 3 years ago paid $50 shipped and have zero problems with it. its a high rez, wide angle view. don't remember who i got it from unfortunately, but when shopping for a back up camera stay very clear of anything made outside the us. the Asian stuff is just junk..
good luck with the hunt...

My 2 cents... buy midway... you probably want one that has nightvision built in, so that it will work at night... I have even seen some kits that come with a bit to cut your camera mount hole... I'll try and get the name for you

go to just about any electronics store. All those pinhole cameras and small outdoor use camera are all 12V DC anyways.
