Wow guy you took the time to find out some of our lines to bash. But your math is not very good. You could get a Clarion DXP11500 1500W rms amp and a Clarion SSW1200 12" Sub and a box for under $1000. Thats just one example. BTW the Pyle and Soundstorm are very entry level and nothing wrong with the Visonik line. Just because a line is not sold at a BigBox store or don't have a mainstream name, doesn't mean it's crap. There is a line for everyone and every budget and what may be your line may not be someone elses.

Seeing that only the two 12"s and the amp are worth $1240 before tax and shipping. The fact that you are willing to eat the tax and shipping charges, and toss in a free box along with knocking off $40 off your list price, makes you one hell of a guy in my book.

What is this so called "entry level" car audio gear? Is this something like the $5 watches or $15 shoes that you can get at wally's world? Or is it more like the happy-meal vs the big mac combo?

Nope there is no getting mad in car audio, we are all happy people. Well for the most part even though I like pushing people's buttons once in a while.
