First off Merry Xmas to all
I just picked up another truck and want to keep the stock HU for stealth reasons, its a 98 dodge ram with the Infinity system. What do you recomend for getting a reasonable SQ from the factory HU. I was looking at the A/C lc6-lc8 and JLs clean sweep or am I wasting time trying to use the stock HU?

What I did was I picked up an Alpine CHA-1656sp CD changer controller and suitable Alpine changer. The 1656sp has speaker level inputs from the factory deck and it has front and rear RCA outputs to go to your amplifiers. The controller is small like an FM mod controller so I molded it into a pocket in my dash. Most people totally miss it until I point it out.

It's the best of all worlds for me as I retain factory radio reception and an in-dash single CD but also have 6 in the back and real line level output. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
