I'm heading up to Winnipeg next weekend from Kenora for a night or two and wanted to pick up some supplies while I'm in the city. Specifically looking for 0 gauge cable sold by the foot preferably.

Anybody have suggestions/recommendations?

if they have princesss auto welding cable would be a good solution

 

There is deff a Princess Auto and that's most likely on my list of stops anyway. Is welding cable still flexible enough to a certain extent?

aha! Found this while browsing their website. Thanks luke for the idea. The description is also very clear about flexibility. I pictured welding cable to be solid strand for some reason...ah well.. this will work perfectly thanks!

Is $3.50/ft reasonable for 1/0?

 

ya its not bad to work with probably just as as easy as regular zero

 

I bought 1/0 on sale at PA for $2.99, so $3.50 isn't all that bad... at least you know you are paying for and getting 1/0 cable

 

Try to go to a Wholesaler location, like Eecol electric or B.A Robinson.

Both on the west side of the city, not to sure what's available on the east side? I'm sure there are lots of places. Even try some scrap metal places.. Been known to pick up a few feet of that wire for 1.50$ a foot!
