Yes in this case it would be wiser to fuse for 80A, earlier interruption of the circuit so to speak in case of a short.

Sonic has suggested that you replace the breaker with an in-line fuse.

Amp Installation Kits, HDMI Cables <<< Go to this site and check out their fuses and holders. See what it'll cost of a 120A fuse and holder. I order all my RCA, speaker and power wires, and fuses from them. Their products are top notch.

Don't blame equipment that you have not setup to spec. I own a T1000 and a T500/4. They're phenomenal amps for the price and are far from power hungry. I'm running them both with an inline 150 amp fuse with no issues, but I'm also using 1/0 all the way back, Big 3 upgrade, 250 Amp Alt, Optima Redtop and 2 Audio batteries about 2 ft from the amps.

It's fun to splurge on big equipment but if you don't juice it properly there's no point.
