Rockford vs. JL Audio

Okay, here's a question for all you woofer pro's.
One of my celebrity clients here in Hong Kong wants to install a scary expensive system in his new Evo 9. We're talking about Focal Utopia No. 7 for the front AND rear. Rockford T15004 and T20001bd amps. But what about the woofer? It's a draw between the JL Audio 12W7, and the Rockford T212D2. Ported box displacing 60L net internal volume. (that's what I've got to work with; final numbers many vary up/down a bit)
What would you choose, and why? I'm not on a spec hunt, I'd like to hear from people who've heard either one, or both. What's the good and bad?

With that much volume I'm guessing you're going with just one driver and whichever one you get the T2001 is overkill for either. A T1001 will be plenty and will do ~1400rms anyways.
Although the T2 is a great driver and really doen't get the respect it deserves I still say the 12W7 is a better sounding driver and recommend it over the T2.

Well, that seems to point in a pretty specific direction. Thanks for all your input.
I agree that the T10001bd would suffice. I'm still working on selling that point. "More is Better" seems to be a way of life here......
