AUDISON SRX4 NEW Amplifier 680Watt max 4Channel SQ Amp on eBay.ca (item 110576199455 end time 19-Oct-10 21:10:41 EDT)

Found this amp, But it's more expensive and less power. Although these are suppose to be killer amps...

Someone please tell me if I am wrong

The Audison product is certainly going to give you more tuning options, and I imagine you'll find the fit-and-finish more refined as well. With your current application though, I think the MTX will do exactly what you need. Maybe if you were planning a more complicated system the Audison would be a better choice. I think you'll find generally better components in the Audison, which generally leads to better sound quality... But (not to be offensive) I've run the Kappas and the Perfects, and there are better drivers out there, so even if your amp was the best of the best made with platinum, gold, and virgin silk your speaks won't back it up. Go with the MTX

Oh yeah another question...

Is there any point in adjusting the freq on the amp if I can adjust it on my HU.

I am thinking 80 HP and 80 LP for the sub. So I could just set each channel accordingly to HP and LP on the side of the amp and leave the freq at it's default value.

My HU also lets me do 6db slopes, And I think I can crossover at 100hz, 80hz & 63hz.

one or the other don't use both as they can cause very interesting peaks and dips as the cross over slopes and center frequencies are very hard to determine. Choose the one that's most useful and convenient...typically the head unit's.

Great thanks.

I can just set the amp to HP and LP and leave the freq at the default location.

No, not necessarily... If the default location is crossing the lp/hp freqs at a point too high or too low for either the woofer and/or the midrange, you can end up with damaged drivers Not good, if you can imagine. Best thing to check is the speaker's specifications to see where they should be crossed over.
