Satellite radio approved in Canada!
#1
Today the CRTC approved the application of three companies to bring satellite radio to Canada. The three companies are CSR (Canadian Satellite Radio - XM Satellite Radio), SIRIUS Canada & CHUM Ltd.
With XM & SIRIUS aleady operating in the US, hopefully it'll be a quick process in getting up & running. The CHUM application is for a terrestrial system which will take a number of years to get off the ground.
Today is a great day for the 12V industry in Canada & I look forward to all the new opportunites that satellite radio will bring.

I can't tell you what the Kenwood tuner might cost but I would estimate in the $150-$200 range (based on what I've seen for the XM & Sirius units for Pioneer).
Cost per month is estimated at $12 to $15 based on length of term & possible programming options.
