saturn sc2

k just bought a Saturn sc2 and got all excited when i saw the potential to put my 8" sync in the doors. I'm i dreaming or is it possible. And what is the sound like with the polymer panels. Will i have to deaden the trunk and doors or will it be okay.

I drive a 98 SC1, although I'm not really in it for the SQ.... Even at 140 the trunk rattles like mad, I'd dampen it if you're concerned about rattles.

Max mounting depth in my 01 is 3.75" before it hits the glass, depending on the depth of your drivers you may have to fabricate a custom glass pod/standoff to allow clearence. As for the deadening, depending what you're going for, only deaden what rattles. I don't like road noise, so im deadining everything but the roof.

my 6.5 soundstream spl,s hit the glass, and barely fit in the supplied holes. Goodluck with fitting eights in those doors. And ya there is literaly nothing you can do to get rid of all the rattles that plastic car is going give you. Check out saturnspot.com, it's a pretty good site and quite informative for those hard to get/find parts. (Not a sales pitch lol, just helped out alot for me).
