Ok, I am on the phone with Kyle and here's what is happening.
"SCL is restructuring with Mitek and the CFO of SCL, the current owner has wanted to get out for a few months now. As is sits, SCL is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever. The reason there was no one answering phones is because of the nature of this transfer of ownership, the bank required all inventory and assets counted."
So, the deal is, Mitek and Layton (SP) will be partners in this.
No they're not going bankrupt, no MTX is not going direct and no there will be no changes to lineup.

I really love the speculation on events such as this, the rumors of what "has" happened have been quite entertaining so say the least. We currently have heard about a dozen "speculations" that are on the go and some of them are WAY out there.
You will see some very exciting things forth coming from this new venture. This will make the Mitek brands stronger then they ever have been in Canada and will raise these brands to new heights within the market place.
And no this will be nothing like Rockford's move of a few years ago.....................

I heard a lot of rumours as well, but chose to dismiss them as heresay, when Norm called today it sure put an end to the rumours. I think that this might be a great move and will help solidify the Mitek brands in Canada.
