Second battery help

Hey everyone, I can get a good deal on a Kinetik hc800 and I was wondering if I can just hook it up in parallel with my existing starter battery. It's a regular wet cell starting battery. I have heard that you can do it without an isolator if the batteries are not old and have the same voltage. IDK. Has anyone hooked up an agm style battery to a wet cell starter and been ok.

Wire it in parallel. No need for isolator. Have a 1/0 run from the front batt (positive) to the rear batt (positive), and ground the rear batt to the chassis of the car (in 1/0).
