Security Code on Panasonic DualDIN *free case of beer inside*

Hey guys, I have a huge problem, I just bought a CQ-VD6505U off a guy from Craigslist and after I installed it it comes up with a 4 digit security code needed. I tried 1234, 1111, 9999, 0000 etc and nothing has worked. The who sold me it isn't answering his phone and Panasonic didn't help at all cuz I don't have the recipt so essentually I have a $500 paperweight and no audio at all in my car anymore. I tried ever CarAudio place, and since Panasonic doesn't make car audio anymore, everyone just tells me I'm S.O.L.

Please, anyone any suggestions is MAJORLY appreciated, and anyone from the Lower Mainland who can figure it out gets a case of beer, hand delivered by myself!

Thanks guys!

If I could get ahold of him I would but the mother****er isn't answering his phone. Don't think it's stolen though, cuz the only reason I bought it was because it came with the box, manuals and harness etc.

My old kenwood had that stuff, and im 99.9% sure you HAVE to obtain either the code from the guy, or the manufacturer.

Panasonic cq-vd7005u security code i forgot it wont work - FixYa

With all due respect, and you didnt steal that deck, when my Kenwood was stolen a small piece of me was happy the f*ckers didnt get to use it, since I know it was coded and they would never guess it. To be honest it is a genius design.

GS Audio in Surrey can fix it for you, but it will cost you more than a case of beer.......usually about $50. you have to be an authorized panasonic repair place in order to get the default codes. they are.

they are located at 10511 king george hwy in Surrey, their # is 604 582 4833. Tell "Hi" and "Mike" that I sent you (Will)
