Its not like u will get nailed all the time...heck it was 3 years b4 i got nailed with having shaved doors but in the last 2 years i got a few...it's really up to you if u wanna dish out the coin once and awhile..........but to let you know it is ILLEGAL!

Let see...... o.k... here's one. if you get into a bad accident. its bad enough that (in some case) you can't open the door. now there's no handle to even to open the door with by the fireman or medics. and i guess if you're pinned inside and can't get out and your car burst into flames..... you don't have to worry too much about the fine.

this is sort of the same deal with the aftermarket lambo doors issues..... if your car is upside down. how do you open the doors?

As for why it is illegal, it is likely because in the event of an emergency (i.e. accident) the car cannot be accessed by safety crews/firefighters/paramedics from the outside.

Just a guess.

so what happens if your car is on its side?

if the car is so smashed that you cant open it, I doubt fireman would even try. they would just cut it off.

I dont see why it should be illegal. Im kinda like; its my car, let me do what ever I want to do to it. as long as its not hurting anyone, why the hell do you care if I have to press a button to open my door?

 

bullet proof windows should be illegal too then, cuz what happens if you need to exit through the window, theres no way human power can break it with they're elbow .. thats stupid

 

MY 2001 z71 locks the door after 40 km so they can not open my door anyway so shaved doors are no harder to open ??????????????????
