You threw away a coil? Or the spider? Either way, buy a new sub.

i don't know my type x is still amazing for sq and i just use it around my computer in a room with 2 alpine type s and 2 10 inch e that are sealed. I all ways like a little mixture of sub woofers to hit highs and lows and having a mixture of 15 12 and 10s might just be nice. I might be throwing this into my basement for home theater under a couch for now but how do you guys think this shocker extreme sub sounds against my single voice coil type x since i threw away half because i thought it was cracked in half but have herd that they had a separate coils so i was like but some one plz help is this sub woofer worth to get for 100$ . and that Bart Pyle guy sewed Pyle audio because that name was his lol but i don't know but the Pyle amp i got it just perfect for my two type s because its 1600 watts and each type s 800 max . but now i am just wanting to know what amp should i get for 300 over the power acoustic bamf 5500 or gothica series and should i get this 15 inch sub woofer to have some fun lol

i bought it from a pawn shop call avenue pawn brokers in Windsor ontairo on Jefferson street. The one guy posted that it could handle 1500 rms but another guy said its a shocker mouse so i looked up on google and they are able to halde 5000 rms.I have this sub on a 500 rms amp and its extremely loud.

Shocker extreme

well thanks for telling me that i was one day thinking of putting 1500rms to it because someone said its should take 1500 rms.
I'm going to get recon from atomic and see what he can do for me . The resting place for the shocker is in a 2.5 cube ported box with a 14.5 x 6 port thats staggered for more port length and less port noise. Now from my original 14.5 x 4 port that had so much port noise when u turn it up you could hear it over the bass lol.
With the new port it can get so much louder with clean bass im really wondering the full potential and The sub is only on 500 rms

DOSE ANYONE KNOW OF BOX DESIGNS FOR THESE SUBS FROM THE COMPANY
OR PEOPLE THAT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SUBS BACK IN THE DAY.

Thanks for answering as is to all members that replied to my un organized ideas on the go. my car audio skills had evolved so much from the help from people with there quick replys and info on this site. when i first joined i didnt even know ohm configurations lol. peace 2 all

We can only speculate what box design would work good with this sub..If I recall correctly..This sub never came with T/S Parameters...A "Dayton Audio WT3 Woofer Tester" would give you the T/S Parameters you desire...This device can measure T/S Parameters on any speaker or sub..

However...Unless you want to fork out $100 for one..Just so you can measure T/S Parameters..It may not be worth it to you?..

If you don't want to spend the extra $$$...My suggestion is to get the longest 6" Aero Port you can fit in your box...Then slowly start cutting off length of the Aero Port till you get the sound you desire..

After all it's about what you like..If you're just interested in getting loud (Spl) though...You've got a lot of building ahead of you...lol

Good Luck!
