should i get infinity kappas?

this is what i have so far (not alot)....Pioneer Avic-N2 HU, RF 8002 amp, RF P3 12" subs, and factory speakers (maxima 2001, not bose). okay the speakers are really getting annoying. If I crank the volume level to 30, the speakers start distorting, so I'm thinking of getting new ones. Basically I want loud speakers that are good quality. I looked over the crutchfield website and talked to the sales rep. and he recommended me these speakers:

a pair of Infinity Kappa 60.7cs, Infinity Kappa 62.7i, and Infinity Reference 7541a amp to power em up. The speakers are 2ohm, so the amp will power them at their max rms @ 2ohm. The max rms amp has is 139 watts x 4. What do you think? I think this is the best Crutchfield has to offer, but definately the best compared to some other brands. I can get all these almost half the price on ebay and I calculated it would cost me around 400-450$ for everything.

According to my research, anything more powerful than these speakers are bigger size speakers, which I will probably add later on in the back if I have to because Ill have to cut in the back. So please give me some suggestions if I should get these or not. My budget is around 450 for both amp and speakers.

I love the sound of the Kappas, especially when they are properly amplified.

The only reason why I didn't end up with them is because I couldn't afford them... budget system for me

I have the Infinity kappas in my current system. The front 60.7 comps, and rear 692.7 6x9's are powered by a Rockford punch 4004 at 2ohms delivering 111 watts rms(birth sheet) to each channel. They sound great, and get very freakin loud with no distortion. Note: my system is all active(electronically crossed-over), which means I'm not using the Infinity cross overs, and I have not used them. I don't know if your system will sound the same, or very different with the passives. I can tell you that these speakers sound really good with just about any type of music once set up properly. The tweeters are very powerful and depending on your taste for high frequency sound, you may want to attenuate them or try off axis mounting. I like bright sound, so I love these tweeters. Quality is very good, and these speakers are light due to the Neo magnets and very easy to install. The install hardware is A1, with 4 different ways to mount the tweets, and adaptors for virtually any door. I too purchased mine on ebay for under 40% of the actual retail price in toronto. So to say I'm pleased is an understatement! Great buy!

thanks lot of the replies, i just talked to a crutchfield sales rep again and he said the 60.7 components wont fit in my maxima 2001. he said the mounting height is more than the factory speakers. any one here know about this?
