Should i get a 12" Hertz and a 12" Alpine type r and put them in one ported box OR should i just get two type r's and put them in a ported box. THanks

 

You'll want to run two of the same subs. Especially if theyre sharing a common chamber. The only time I'd run different subs is if they were crossed over so they didn't play the same frequencies. In that case they'd be in separately tuned enclosures at well.
