why not run a ground distro block, then from there onto your amps? at least then you don't have to explain why you have a fuse in your ground line
and why can't you just buy the 0 AWG by the foot? most stereo shops sell it by the foot.

yes it is all the way to the battery
i need 1' to my distro block then it goes to the amps
if i do a clip like the one here www.phoenixgold.com/2004/powermisc.html i can add what will the points be like at a show will it be + or - points

^ That's a good point. What you can certainly do is ground the long cable from the battery to the frame or chassis where it ends up and then run the ground from the amps/distribution block to the same point. I always suggest this rather than the cable on it's own back to the battery.
By doing this you have likely secured the best possible ground in the car.
