got my new amp(T3 1000D) today and installed it. now with my old amp (MA audio HK-102sx) every now and then my deck would skip(no sound to anything), but now wiht my new amp my deck really skips. deck is an Alpine 7897. I am running the deck threw the stock wirring(actually tapped threw my brake light wiring cause my stock radio wiring was fu barred). so, im pretty sure its just a matter that the deck isnt getting enough power. so I going to run an 8 gauge wire to it.

anyone have any other ideas that I should try too? think im on the right path?

 

never mind. new amp kicked the bucket. kinda down now
