My civic had a Alpine type x with a Alpine M1000 sub.
It was kind of ridiculous an the weighed like 80lbs that slowed down my car big time.

I have 130HP stock, I have a short ram intake and a exhaust system and a performance header.. I might have 140hp lol 80lbs in the trunk is heavy.

?? and my little van sitting at 2300kg with 160hp can beat a civic i have a tad more hp but i have twice ur weight.. theres something ur doing wrong man lmao.. cause 80lbs is nothing.. it slows u doing by what. .2econds off the 0-100kph ?? unless ur drag racing i dont see y u would worry...

what u could do is find a sub with a neo motor design and spend some doe on a custom carbon fiber enclosure

Was looking at either this:
Fusion EN-AT110 Active 10" Enclosure (tube design) [enat1100]

or

should I buy

JL Audio 10WOV2 10" Subwoofer [10WOV2]
and find some cheapo 300rms amp and some cheapo box?

i personally wouldnt do the Bazooka. They arent "BAD", but you can DEFINITELY do better with your own setup.
If you like the idea of the bazooka canon setup, just build your own. They are so easy to make you could almost do it by accident.
Buy a bit of sonotube from your local home hardware or what ever, slap some 3/4" MDF pieces on the ends, cut a hole in one end, put a sub of your choice in it and BLAMMO!! Instant BOOM! I feel like the guy off those Slap Chop commercials right now. lol

As for the 80lbs slowing your Civic...I drive a Toyota Tercel...i had an IXL15 in the back in a huge 1" thick MDF box that weighed more than i do all together, and it barely slowed me down. This car is rated for something like 92hp or so. I was still averaging 790 - 800km on a tank even with the sub in the back. Now i am running a pair of 10's that weigh quite a bit along with a heavy box, and still dont notice any change compared to when i didnt have anything in the car while i waited to get the 10s. Audio is something the car cant be without. I would do it if i had a 50hp Sprint (and did at one time), or if i had a 300hp sports car, or a tank, or what ever i'm driving. Gotta have a system.
