So anyways as a small company im not prepaired to bring in 750 drivers to find out they are not what you guys want. Now I have the oppurtunity of hooking up with the buildhouses TCsounds, or the guys that created and designed all the Kicker product pre them moving offshore. Right now they have said I can have basically the original first gen L5 squares to work with and some of the other drivers. And then later down the road as we start moving more gear start custom tooling for us. I know the prices are a little higher then an offshore piece. But I believe in quality products. I personally would rather have a piece that lasts for 10years and pay a bit more then laying out money every 2years for a new piece. I want to create a business that takes pride in all they gear. But I value your guys opinions and need to ask you as a consumer are squares what everyone wants?

Problem with most of the offshore places they have very limited information about the drivers they sell. Its a crap shoot and they don't like to send samples often. Its more like you make full order now we send you product.

This is a shoot myself in the foot scenario.

So you guys tell me, is this something you want to see? Or should I just keep looking for the perfect driver via offshore? Or should I even bother?

Thanks
I thought Credence Speakers OEMed the orginal kicker subs before Kicker went offshore?

Start with TC Sounds using basically stock TC2 motors and go from there. You should get good performance at a low cost.

My vote is for TC. Personally I was looking at a TC driver as my next investment.

Well yes we have been talking to a few companys. We are ordering in some sample 12 and 15's to try out. They are single 4 ohm coils, in 1 month will have dual 4 and dual 2ohm coils and in aprox 3 months 10" will be available. The 10 and 12" will be a 500Wrms driver and the 15" 600Wrms. And with in 6 months to one year or so will be in full production with our own silkscreened logos.

10" will be around $210msrp
12" will be around $234msrp
15" will be around $299msrp

Obviously the cost at firstwill be around

10" $140 shipped
12" $155 shipped
15" $185 shipped

This should be our last changes made, they are a nicely built american driver nothing off shore for me ( To risky with minimal investment). Cast basket. Should work well.

I have been looking for something to focus on and IMO SPL is not it due to SPL being 8-10% of the market share. We need to focus more on the everyday SQ-Street Slammers. Let me know what you think.

TC has issues as well, after talking to a few companies that delt with them QC was great at first and then fell off. Hard company to get ahold of sometimes as well. Nice looking gear though. But from a business stand point I want to be able to drive to the location if there is issues with build and so on. And shipping from cali kills you unless you have a truck load.
