Ok,
After having been enlightened as to the merits of certain aspects of SQ...

I am looking at IDQ subs...

Anyone want to suggest/recommend something that is similar/better?
Around 300 each, 10" drivers, dont need a huge box, anywhere from 250 to 500w rms would be perfect.

C'mon guys, I need help with my brainstorming.
I likes me bass, but I am growing out of my ear-ringing phase, basically.
I have been considering RF Punch HX2's for a bit more of an SPL style driver, but want to get some input from people before I go crazy with those.
I was also considering PG Ti subs, but I havent really looked into them at all, so I dunno yet.

Help me spend money, folks...

Seas Lotus 12.

It rocks with around 4-500 WRMS on it, doesn't require a huge box and if you find some, grab me one too

diamond audio m6... takes 800RMS, fairly cheap, and hits flat to 17hz in a small sealed box...

and eclipse aluminum subs are always good...

flat to 17hz? woah... you have a pic of the graph?

IDQ's are great for the price. They can go fairly loud too which is surprising... for me at least. I still remember Matt (from Mobile D) had a single 10" IDQ in a camaro and wow... damn deep and loud.

Oh, and a different recommendation... Phase Linear Alliante (if that's spelled correctly), PPI pro flat pistons, and Mcintosh woofers if you can find them.

M6 diamond are great woofers, but they are more money than 300 each.

The M3 is closer to your budget, and still a great sub.

If you were considering PG Titaniums, I would take them over either the HX2s or IDQs especially at their rapidly-sinking price point. The other suggestions - Eclipse, Resonant, or even JL, although the JLs are overpriced considering the performance of the other subs mentioned, are still great alternatives. Eclipse is also pricy and Resonants are elusive but of all the subs mentioned the Resonants probably have the most performance-per-dollar when you are talking about sticker prices.

I've owned a few IDQs over the last couple years, fantastic subs. I always seem to find myself going back to IDQs ever time I rebuild my system. Tiny sealed enclosures, and tight resposive output, with good low frequency extention. the IDQ 10 version 2's are fabulous. I recently picked up an IDQ 15 v2.. Cant wait to hear it in action.

I've always loved JL W6's (the older version) as well.. great subs.
