My friend is wanting to get a setup going for his basement in his home. He has a good setup for his receiver etc, but we are going to make a custom sub/box and then an amplifier for his home theatre. We are going to try and find a decent 15" car sub with some serious excursion, and we are planning on running this:
http://cgi.cafr.ebay.ca/Behringer-Europower-EP1500-Power-Amplifier_W0QQitemZ150333057628QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ LH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item150333057628&_trksid=p 3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1215%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12 %7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318
In theory, as long as we get a crossover for it inline or some sort, will it work? It puts out 1400w RMS bridged, so we can run multiple subs at home.
Thanks for your input.

I am going to read up on this active crossover ( im thinking it is as simple as a eq/co rack that you can adjust digitally? ) if so then yes.
I will also try to ebay that home epicenter and check it out.
As for the ep2500 it is only a little more I think your right, but only a 1400w to 1800w difference.
I know running 1400w in Car audio is ridiculous ( to me since im running a single 10 @ 200w, although I used to use an l7 @ 1k ), and my boston acoustics 10" is running 250w rms at home, and it is loud.
Therefore my belief is that even 2 15's in a large (5+ cu ft) ported box running off 1400w would be more than enough. Right? :-)
