I read on another forum that you should do both the inner and outer door panel, but my inner door panel doesn't have any holes large enough to reach the outer panel. Would just doing the inner door panel in Dynamat extreme be sufficient?

I just did the inner( towards the cab) as outer shell was pretty small access holes.

I did both my doors in about 1.5 hours.

Also pick up some new door clips.

 

I have the same problem. The access holes are too small to work with. Did you notice a considerable improvement by just doing you inner panel?

And where would I buy some new door clips. The last time I took the door panel off I broke one so maybe its a good idea to be prepared.

could you not buy the foam spray that is used to seal house windows which can expand in and around tight spots. you can pick it up at home depot/

i think that would work well, it also has an insulation rating

I wouldn't do that in your doors, too much and your door will swell, maybe that would work in the small crevasses in your trunk or somewhere you can't reach with mat, but the purpose of the mat is to add mass to the thin metal door skins preventing them from any give, as well as stopping the metal from resonating, the foam wouldn't do a very good job of that....although it would probably help with road noise I think it would do very little in the way of "deadening"

 

Would it matter if I only put Dynamat on the inner panel and not the outer?

 

i would not do the faom but would look at the paint on deaderen (pull the door off lay flat ,windo up add the paint into a hole swish the door ,lat seat untill set ,reinstall

The problem I have is that the access holes are not very big. The pictures Ive seen of Dynamat Installed on other cars appear to have small access holes as well, so how are some people able to cover the outer Door panel when there is such a small access hole to get at the outer panel?
