Sound Deadening - How much to do a car?
#11
Thread revival, as I have been outta commision for a while......
Anyways, this stuff: http://www.b-quiet.com/
I have used it in the past and found it to be decent (both grades of it) and priced very attractively.

i just bought 100 sq/ft of the ultimate b-quiet. Don't see anything wrong with it. it should do the job. i'll soon find out anyways. And like you said, the price is decent. my car is a 03 golf 4 door.

I used 50ft^2 on my car about a year ago, and everything is still great. No smells or pealing. I would buy it again for sure.

Reason I ask is I have 50ft^2 coming of b-quiet ultimate, and I'm wondering if I should also buy some mass loaded vinyl and some closed cell foam, or if the 50ft^2 of b-quiet should be enough

front doors, both inner and outer skins,
rear deck. all of it,
trunk lid,
random places throughout the car that rattled.

ya, the b-quiet guy is located in lethbridge alberta. if u can buy direct from him (as i did) its cheap as $hit. GREAT product too!!! 20 minute drive for me to his house, and about 30% savings compaired to his e-bay postings(not counting shipping) try it, its pretty good stuff and easy to apply. 2 years, and holding on strong!!

Yeah that's what I've heard. I'm just trying to determine if 50ft^2 should be good enough for my 2011 scion tc, or if I should also get some Mass Loaded Vinyl as well.
I plan to do the door, hatch, trunk, front wheel wells, and maybe a bit of the floor.
