I'm surprised, Dave, that you point to the install in the SX as bringing you huge SQ install dollars when you say that SQ shouldn't have anything to do with above average installs... Doesn't seme to make sense [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

first of all, i never said that the install in the rt brings me only sq installs, it brings me all knids of installs in all kinds of vehicles, both sq oriented, daily driver cars, and the types of cars that would make dwvw puke. im sure that i never said that install should have nothing to do with sq vehicles

If it doesn't sound good it is **** -- period. Who cares if it has spinners, 42" plasma, a centre pod, disco lights -- if you want bling, buy runners with lights in the heal like my eight year-old has. I'm sick of the bling'ers. Don't get me wrong, rusted out Pintos are not exciting either -- but I've always been a substance guy and I guess I always will be. When I put a system in my car I only care about one thing -- does it sound good? If the answer is YES, than I am happy. I could care less if the deck has dolphins, or it makes crappy MP3's sound better (get off welfare and buy some CDs I say) -- here's a novel concept -- how about a deck that plays CDs well? I think stock locations are fine -- IF the speaker can sound good there. Who cares if the writing on the RCA cables "lines up"? So many people worry about "details" in asthetics -- how about "details" in the sound stage? SOUND in a car is just that -- SOUND -- stereos are for listening to!

Sound off is out for the 21st, but we will still have a booth at the import show, just got the ok from the head honcho himself, anyone in the area should stop in, it's like only 3 bucks.
