hi guys! seen a good looking deal with this amp:

but i dont know much about them, 220RMSx2 at 2 ohms for 129.00$ seems a pretty good deal. are these amps/brand overrated ? dont do what they say they do?

Dereck's correct. Although they are not nearly the same company they once were they do make products that work. Most of their amps are indeed optimistic on the power ratings as are their owner's (Power Acoustik).

And I am happy for you that you saw that. Again a single 12 in a prefabed box not 2 12's . I have the 05 xxx amp right now as well as their xxx sub . Believe me you need to do somemore educating. I have been using Soundstream for years. yes they declined but now they are back and they are coming on strong. I am a soundstream dealer. I test each and every piece to make sure that it does what it claims to do. They are good and better than what you think. The xstream series is a great line for the beginner who wants power but doesnt have the budget. They have even brought back the little wonder for 05. untill you have tried the 05 stuff dont knock it.

But yes I will agree that I too have opinion based on the '04 and earlier gear. Let's hope as you say, they bring it together for '05.

I was the biggest Soundstream fan in the world. I had 3 Class A 6.0's, 1 MC245, and a D200. Oh I also had a granite 110.2 and a USA series amp. I owned an SVX4 crossover, Exact 5 component set, Granite 12 subs, SS10R subs, SS10R limited subs, as well as an SS18 sub. I have every issue except for one of Butch, the newsletter. If Soundstream is back at that level I would support them in a second.
