So do any of you guys protect your speakers from water? or is it something I shouldn't worry about?

Not necessarily anything wrong with the seals. I notice that on most cars now if you roll down a wet window it will come up in the same condition. The seals don't seem to squeegee anymore like they used to on older cars :dunno:

Maybe something to do with too much drag for dinky electric motors?

I hate electric windows.

pansy small motors and plastic gears that strip...
