Speaker wire to RCA convertor?

Does such a thing exist? I just bought a new car, well, new to me, and I'd like to wire in my sub, amp, and crossover in. However, unless I change the head unit, which I don't want to do, I only have speaker level inputs, for the crossover, and my Alpine crossover doesn't have them. Is there anything out there, that I could say, branch off my rear speaker wires, and have convert to RCA outputs, so I can get signal to my amp?

Yes, it is called a Line Level converter or a Line Out Converter. I think they start as low as 20$ and get into the hundreds of dollars.

Cool, thanks. Off to the store I go. Any suggestion on make? My amp is an older Eclipse, and the crossover is Alpine. I'm not picky on make, but I like clear sound.

I had the factory deck running through a 4 ch LOC, crossovers and amps, speakers, subs.
It still wasn't good enough.
So I replaced the HU. Big difference.

The LOC is still sitting on the floor of my garage, where it landed when i ripped it out. Let me know if you need it.

LOC's are ok for subs in a mild system. Remember, you're converting an amplified signal from an oem deck, which are not known for their clarity. Add to that the excessive distortion as the volume climbs, and you get a shitty signal. I've used a few on factory premium systems (mach460 ford) for subs, and it worked quite well, but in most cases...you're better off changing the deck!
