ssa xcon, sundown 1500

not at all.. adjust the gain properly and and u wont have a problem.. its just that im done playing with smaller amps than what the sub needs. so this time im going with some overkill so i can turn the gain down and feed a cleaner signal to the sub. clipping sux
and i wouldnt run 2 xcon with that i would run 2 icon instead. if i would of to grab 2 xcon i would grab the 3500 amp instead

no i wouldnt run 2 xcons with that 2000d thats too little power, i just wanted to know in case i want to switch up subs and go with 2 woofers in the future if the amp could run 2 subs.
so the sub is about 1700 watts rms.. a 2000d would be better with the gains down compared to a 1500d?

as much as i want to.. but i go by ear when tuning. i listen for signs of stress and distortion so if the sub can take 2000watts ill give it that but if it shows distortiong or mechanical stress ill turn the gain down until its all gone. so it can be anything from 1500 to 2500watts rms. it all depends on the enclosure size. the tuning like LPF and subsonic filter.
