i will change my deck settings at 6-10k and se what she does! I love these speakers!! They are the bomb and the tweets are in no way to harsh fot me. The cymbals are perfect and crisp it is just the vocals on a few songs. The vocals that include an "s" at the begining and the end. Other than that they are perfect. I am getting ready to install my 1/3 octave EQ's and i think i could fix it with that. What freq. or range of freg. do high pitchs vocals play at??

And thanks again for all your replys people!!

Oh and what last thing soft dome BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

You should have bought some nice CDT ES components. They have a great silk dome tweeter with no sibilance, IMHO.

Cool

pop the tweeter grille off & put a small peice of sticky foam tape on the center of the cone, your problem might be the resonance of the driver material

Let me know what you come up with to get ride of the S's.

For me, getting some of the harshness out meant reinforcing my kickpannels since It seems like both the tweets and the mids have a hand in the S's. I still need to reinforce them more (q-logics) and seal off the back. I'll see where that takes me.

One the dome of the tweet?? Or the mid? I think the problem is with the tweet. The setup i have is with the midbass in the door and the midrange and the tweet in kicks. The kicks are mostly sealed (due to the carpet i can seal the speaks to the kicks) and they share the same airspace. Could this be why? The are crossed over at 50hz and the passive tweet divides the signal to each comp. The tweet is set to -1bd and the eq on the head is bass 0 mid 0 treble 1. I know i could turn the treb to 0 but it doesn't quite give it enough highs. Whould setting the tweet to 0db and the treb to 0 make any difference?

I am going to get my eq's adjusted when i find someone to help me! hint hint DWVW!!! Anyways keep the suggestions coming.
