It is true (waiting for that one guy to come in with the J-Body clan) that you need a different harness, there are a few versions. Some come with relays and use the factory deck to keep the chimes, others don't have the relays and you will lose the chimes unless you buy a separate speaker. Then there are some that use a "black box" to replace the factory stereo and you don't need to keep the factory deck in the car. My suggestion is to find an installer that you can trust and just use whatever harness he is comfortable using.
Well this is what I have found out and seems to be the route. I found it the best service, price at G&G Electronics in Scarborough. Actually, same place I have bought all my home stereo equipment. Great service and I know they'll do a great install. Anyhow I have found...
Amp: JBL 75.2 190W - http://www.jbl.com/car/products/prod...er=GTS&cat=AMP
Sub: RF P212S4 - http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/produ...h%20Subwoofers
Box: Q Logic QLH-1.2512 - http://www.qlogic.ws/2003/products/q...productID=7193
What do you think, any opinions? I heard this sub in the box in the store, but I know it's hard to tell. But it sounded really good, not too over powering, but hits really low also. They did tell me that they usually sound better in the car also since it's such a small space and the sound doesn't disipate as much.
