Hey,

I recently bought a new car and it had 2 10' jensen's in it which i quicly found out were on there last leg. I blew the left one within the first few days and than wondered why just the left one blew and not the right aswell.

I played them at a decent volume and looked at them, the left one moved in and out much more than the right but i figured, ok.. its blown so maybe thats why.

I went the other day and picked up 2 new mtx 4500d's and suck them in there. First thing i thought was to check them out so i did. The left one moved in and out much more than the right. Why would it be doing this? maybe the amp? dosnt make much sence to me. It seems maybe the left one is getting more power than the right?

The amp i have in there is a 1089w ma audio which is all i can tell from looking at it. i cant find any specs on the net so thats all i can tell u.

If anyone can help me out asap it would be great, i want to solve this problem, its been bugging me all week.

heres the order of things i can think up off the otp of my head

box - air leak or different volume for each sub
amp - left/right gains not the same
wiring - one sub somehow is wired to a lower impedence than the other

amp was setup before i got the car, duno what wires they are.

only one of the preouts into the amp is plugged in, not sure what this means.

all the ***** on the amp are set to the center, none of them are off.

when i wired the subs in there both connected right, there only single 4 ohm.

the connection from amp to the sub is under where i cant see, and the sub box is fastened in there really well so i guess if i have to i can get it out so i can take a look at it.

the box seems fine, same with the gains which is what i thought of and checked today. how could it be wired wrong? im no car audio guru so bare with me

what is it going into R or L it may be you may need a Y rca

ok form the amp the wire going to the sub one wire or two wires?

if you have one wire, from the amp to the subs look in the sub box.

how are the wires

what do the wires go to ?

ok, i looked over them and i was like

so about a month later when i get some time to look at my system i figured out the problem. both subs now work fine and all is well.

now i got a new problem which just started happening when i got everything working again, (didnt happen before with subs / amp on)

im getting engine interference noise feedback through my subs. not sure why its doing this now when it didnt do it before but can anyone tell me how to eliminate this?

thanks

Your rca's may be running on the same side of the vehicle as your power wire. This could cause the interference.

Ensure your grounds are solid too. This can create unwanted noise too.

the power is running on the same side, thing is.. there was no interfearence before this. however i did move the box around and was messing with things, maybe i set loose the ground, ill take a look at it.
