which sub to get?

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I have a couple of questions. I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE with an Alpine XDA-305 and a Clarion DPX1000 amp. I currently do not have any subs but I am looking for something small but something that also packs a decent punch as well I'm trying to keep as much room as I can in the trunk. Here's what I've looked at so far.

these are all 10"

1. Rockford P3
2. MTX TR55
3. JL W3
4. JBL P1024P
5. Alpine SWR1024D

If anyone has any suggestions please feel free and let me know

JL w3.
I have heard one in the back of a Talon, and it was clean and tidy with the sound.

My suggestion is SSA Dcon, or if you spend a little more go with an Icon. Both will destroy all those on your 1000 watt amp in output potential and will sound waaaay better than any of those. No competition, really. Thumpper on here is a Canadian distributor for SSA. All those subs listed are garbage in comparison, and only JL W3 is worth looking at.

That's a completely unbiased suggestion .

Anywho, there are more suitable options out there than there are pretty welsh women. the options you'll get suggested most is eitherthe mainstream big box stuff, because someone has them..and if they have it it has to be the best. Option B is whatever has the most underground hype going for it. The real answer is...

There's a ton of seriously great choices. Want the nissan Altima, the Honda Accord, Mazdaspeed 6. you pick and choose a color .

correction, not sure if this makes a difference but I have the iDA-X305 deck not the XDA-305. Really, I'm just looking for a good sub that's going to give me performance but don't really need to shake the out of the car either. Whereabouts is this SSA company located?

id say do for the w3 for sure
its gonna give you the tightest cleanest sound and is definitly the cleanest highest end sub of the mix
ive been selling jl for a while and id never recommend against it
it costs a little more, but its soooo worth it
super clean and very tight. its also a very fast sub as well

lol, well, this opinion IS biased. You caught me. I am having a hard-on for an Xcon last little while, and trying to get over it. I just want to hear it, but no-one around here has one, and I've decided I am not paying full pop for another sub I want to try out. I just cant justify paying that price just to satisfy my curiousity. This hobbyist needs to draw the line somewhere. I have way too many sub set-ups at home, and every single one of them is incredible for their intended purpose. I am thinking if I move the triple 10" CSS set-up, which is just too big and heavy for my lowered Golf, then I can move on to other sub trials, but there is another sub set-up prior to Xcon that takes precedence, so I may not get to the Xcon that soon, and by then I will prolly cool off, unless I get a great deal on one, then I will not wait, and just dive right into it. I just have that fuzzy feeling about that sub, but I believe they already have a pill for that
