Hi!
I want to buy either two 10" inch subs or 1 12" and an amp to run these subs, I want to spend around 400$ CAN. For subs I was looking at rockford (base model), pioneer, and kenwood. For amps I was looking a kenwood and rockford. All of these products are in my price range. All of these products are sold at futureshop. I'm also going to purchase a headunit probably Kenwood KDC-MP522. Any comments?

Yeah if you just want a little something to add a little thump, any of those will give you some bass. But if you want some high sound quality and things to really shake, your going to need to increase your budget a little bit.

Lauf has a Beyond Audio X-One 12" for $200 in the for sale section. Great guy to deal with and a pretty good deal on the sub.

I have the MP522, it's a nice deck, but has low pre-out voltage.

If your only willing to spend $400 buy used. Go to the classifieds. You will find much better equipment and will be able to get more for your money.

I agree.. you will certainly get a nicer setup if you buy preowned equipment. If you are the type of person who likes warantees and some piece of mind through buying new equipment, I'd say you are on the right track.
