Suggestions for a new system

For starters I am a n00b to the forums, I recently have been reading and creeping around here and you all seem like good peoples

Anyways I recently picked up a 08 Civic coupe and I am generally pretty unsatisfied with the stock stereo and have been looking into an after market setup.

I have about 2000-2500gs to mess with on a system, I listen to alot of bass type music and general looking for a sick sub/amp setup and a deck, I'm not too worried about speakers cuz the car's stock speakers are loud enough for now. I'm not too geeked out about car audio and don't know what the best systems are. 1 of my homies has JL Audio 13W7 series sub with a JL 1000/1v2 amp powering it in a ported box and it sounds real good. The only thing I don't like about that setup in the price

I've done alittle research on the net and I am trying to narrow down the brands and setup that would fit my budget and give me the best bang for my buck.

Any kind of suggestions would be much appreciated

Daily driver, but I like my music loud so borderline competition lol.

I'm looking for SQ but also enjoy heavy bass, ideally something good quality sound with some thump if ya know what I mean.

Whats the difference between ported or sealed ???

It really doesn't make a difference to me if theres one or two subs, as long as the sound is dope haha

RD Audio Alpha on a RD 1750.1 would sound very nice in that. Probably what will be going into my civic...

Either that or a RD Sonance Low Hz woofer matched to an RD 1000.1...that would sound nice as well...

I might suggest you go to a local car audio store and talk to them a bit about it. There are a lot of things that people that are new to it don't understand but really need to. (Hell, I was asking so many questions of my local installers that it was driving them nuts.) Things like which speakers to go with a given ohm rating of an amplifier, whether you need 8, 6 or 4 gauge wiring, and they'll be able to help you out with what kind of speakers would be best for you. There are a lot of variables, and I wouldn't doubt that you'd spend that $2500 on it easily if you wanted to.

Here are a couple things to look at;
Space - How much space in the back of that car are you willing to sacrifice?
Type of bass - Do you like real low rolling bass, punchy bass or a mixture?
Setup style - do you want a stiff wind at your neck from your speakers, or a nice accurate pound? (Loud and clean costs more, so you know.)
Are you also wanting to replace your door speakers? (if the stereo in it is bad, the door speakers have a lot to do with it. A good pair of 6" can give you a lot of top end punchy bass.)
Are you planning to expand? - You might want to go overkill on wiring now to save you money on upgrades later.

They use Zenon amps and SJA woofers. Google either of those and you will see the equipment is quality. They will give you no issues. If you want to take a look at them, I can help you out with some prices...Just hit me up with a PM.

So yeah I've been looking at the Fi Q12 sub https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript with the BP and 1 Ohm and it seems pretty solid, thinking of pairing it with a US Amp XT-2000D US Amps XT-2000D - US Amps 1 Ch 2000 Watt Power Amplifier , any thoughts ??? Would these compliment each and sound decent ???
