Hey guys, just bought a new 2004 Ford Ranger FX4 Level II about a month ago and I am looking to put in a nice audio system in it. I'm looking to spend around $1500. Hopefully that will cover a CD player, subwoofer, speakers and an amp.

Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should be looking at?

Also, any installation tips for people with a similar vehicle would be greatly appreciated. (It is a 4 door)

Thanks.

is it an extended cab?
if so are you willing to give up the back seat or half of it or none of it?

Yes it is an extended cab. I am willing to give up one of the fold down seats for a new system, but I would like to keep the other fold down to hold an extra passenger.

Any tips on mounting the goods in the back? I heard from someone that they took one of the rear seats out and used the mounting brackets to hold a subbox.

Gmac, the goodies re: the goodies you mentioned in the "plan" will that give me a kicking soundsystem? because if not, I am willing to go up to $2000.
