I am looking for an amp that does 5 X 45Wrms or more with front, rear, and center inputs, to best utilize my Kenwood KVT-817. These alpine amps would have been perfect, if they were not strictly for alpine head units...

you can look at the JL audio "A" or last years "E" class 6 channel amps. They are 6 channels of full range 45watts @ 4Ohms. You'll have one left over for future rear center channel if you ever need it. Here's the link:

The Audison LRX6.SR would fit this application as well.

 

I can get you a Hifonics 5.1 fairly cheap.
