I have a buddy who has told me he is willing to sell me his like new Pioneer 4900DVD for like 500$.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit..would you buy it retail? I was also wondering if the new ipods would have a problem with the adapter for it... He had his ipod cable hooked into the usb cord from the back of it. He could play some tracks but the menu wouldn't come up. If I get the actual adapter for it would I be able to use the interface shown on the website? Thanks guys.

 

I purchased my 5900 for just under 1000, so I dont imagine that he's giving you that great of deal. I think retail on it is around the 800 mark
