factory nav unit, if i had an aftermarket deck, i probably won't have this problem.

they said that they tapped the sub to the rear speakers, and I check with other IS owners, and that's how it's supposed to be.

doesn't your factory deck have a bass treble control? maybe reduce bass and increase treble and do fadF5?

your link to your pioneer sub is dead. Anyway i don't recommend adding a sub to factory system. you have no mono amplifier??? your running it your factory amp? If that is the case that's not good. Change your deck and add a mono amp but keep your factory speaker. any pioneer deck will do. if you want amp/deck/sub i can sell you cheap w/installation.

Yo, read the forum rules.... want to be able to sell as a vendor, pay to be a vendor. Pretty darn simple rules. Next before you go bent on wanton destruction of a customers system, you might want to consider what he needs in his system based on what he has, is happy with, does not want to change and needs to have to correct the problem.

OP, get a proper interface adaptor. If you plan on future upgrades to the system in the front and rear speaker areas.... look to a Audio Control LC6i as it will afford you a proper interface adaptor, dedicated sub level control before the signal hits the amp, expansion for front and rear speakers and a built in line driver. If you are headed to a sub only, then the RE-Q is a good interface as well.

personally I don't think you would given the limits of your set up and what you're trying to achieve. Is the JL a better sub? yes it is, but it also costs a lot more. Are you going to hear a definite improvement in SQ...not sure, you might, but I suspect given your amplifier, and the rest of the oem system's capabilities, you're not going to be able to utilize the JL's abilities enough to hear a big difference.

If it wouldn't be all too much of a hassle, could you please tell us, by looking at the side of your amp, what your Bass Boost, Freq and other settings are at?
Also, could you clarify whether your amplifier's **** is a gain control or a level ****?

ok, so i got the Re-Q installed today, how ever, i didn't notice any difference. The guy said originally when the other shop installed my system, they didn't disconnect my factory subwoofer (i didn't even know i had one), and ran both factory and aftermarket at the same time. So he disconnected the factory sub, and now i'm only running the aftermarket sub. He took out the hi level to low level controller, and used the Re-Q instead. Followed the instructions on setting it up, but still lots of low end bass. Only the sub wires were installed, as the other 2 plugs are for speakers. Currently, Bass Enhance switch is at "AFTR AMP" setting like stated.

Can some one shed some light here? i thought this would solve my issue, but appearently it didn't. or maybe it wasn't corrected installed or configured? I'm dying to know why. Any help would be great!
