Truck System not working.. Need alot of help PLZ

So my current sound system consist of a pioneer deck with some hack job wiring that im currently trying to fix up right with a stock harness (for a dodge truck) 1 clarion apx400.4 amp that powers 4 door speakers (stock) and 1 panasonic 600 watt amp (i forget the model) and two clarion SRM-3004 12" subs. The problem that i am having is ive taken the subs out temp. to build a new box, but now i have no music coming out of my door speakers only clicking noise when i turn the deck up. I didn't mess with any of the wiring so i dont under stand why its not working now. Does anyone have any insight into my problem

Also does anyone have an info on clarion SRM-3004 subs, i know they need to be ported but im un-sure of the box sizing.

thanks in advance

start with the wiring (fix the hack job and look at fuses)

yes will do. its a 15amp fuse that i will check tomorrow and also i have a RC to head phone jack converter that im going to use to rule out some further possible issues that i might have with the deck. ill check back in tomorrow afternoon with some details

so i got some time today to check out some things. the deck turns on and works right, but still doesn't play music it only makes clicking noises when i turn the volume up. i replaced all fuses in the system and checked to make sure the amp was working by hooking up a RC to Headphone jack converter and it played. ok so im thinking that i might need a new deck because thats the last think on the list.

also does anyone have info on clarion SRM3004 subs, i need it so i can finish my new boxes

general rule of thumb is that two 12"s require 3.75-4.5 cubes feet ported (after displacments)

so i was able to get a new deck inplace of my old one and it does work, but i now have a slight clicking noise while on acc. and then a low pitched hum while its runningthe truck, but the hum increases when i increase the rpm. im thinking now i should clean the terminals on the battery and find the system ground and clean it up. also who owned it before ran both rca cables down the same side as the power wire, would this have something to do with it. i think im going to have a very fun weekend

Clean up all your ground points to shiny bare metal. Run the RCAs down the opposite side from the power wires. Clean the battery terminals. That should take care of it. Let us know if there are still issues after that.
