Agrees with Sunfire.
scrap the craig amp for now.. (with no info..we realy have no idea but craig was never really known for real hot stuff) The Alpine HU is very good even without an external PA.
So it seems like you have front speakrs.. rear door speakers plus 6x9 in boxes?
please confirm.. but I will asume that.
Just like home speakers you need a larger box to get good bass.. The 6x9 in those small rear deck boxes are useless for bass. or are they cut into the rear deck open to the trunk? please explain
I suggest sort of taking a step back.. Start by seeing what front speakers you have. and if they are decent, keep them. If not get some good new ones, and rewire front and backs to the Alpine directly.. Then you will be able to see what kind of sound you have and you can build up from that.
Maybe keep the better pair of coaxes and put them in the back doors.. Then get a pair of components for the front so you can place the tweeter higher...
At that point you can see if you want a subwoofer and amp... or even an external amp for the door speakers...

Get rid of the craig amp, drive the speakers with the head unit instead, will likely sound better. Better amp to replace the craig would be a better option if you wanna spend some money tho.
MB speakers are pretty decent speakers, even there lower priced stuff sounds pretty good imo.
Sounds to me that you are driving 4 speakers off of 2 channels presently so your most likely running the amp at 2 ohms now so adding 2 more in the mix is not an option(amp wont do it) unless you use the other 2 channels but you say they are pooched sooooo. I say the best bet is to get yourself a better amp, alpine/pioneer/jbl/mtx,etc etc, any of these brands will be an upgrade. There is alot more options tho these are just examples.

Anyway that I can pull the head unit out?
Thanks.

Definitely get some better speakers and get the system wired properly. Nothing wrong with the Craig amp, if it works and is clean, use it for now. A better option would be to ideally replace it with something that is more versatile for your application. If you are after a deal on speakers, I have some great deals on right now.
